The prices at the free-entry public beaches opened by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism have been announced. Prices and the pet ban have sparked debate.

The 2026 prices of the free-entry public beaches, one of the projects of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, caused discussions. The sunbed and parking fees at the beaches operated by the Ministry and handed over to Turaş Tourism and Trade Inc. were found to be high.

At the beach in Bodrum Kumbahçe, the daily fee for a sunbed this year was set at 400 TL, and the price of the areas suitable for family use, referred to as private cabins, was determined as 2 thousand TL.

Parking fees at the free public beaches also caused criticism from citizens. The parking fee at the beach is 120 TL for cars, 65 TL for motorcycles, 180 TL for large vehicles, and 520 TL for buses.

The poor's pets suffer too!

One criticism towards public beaches was the restriction on pet entry. The ban on pet entry caused reactions from animal lovers.

There are also those who find the prices reasonable

Pizza and hamburger at the public beach are sold for 450 TL, mixed toast for 250 TL, and soft drinks for 130 TL.

While a large part of the public finds the parking and sunbed fees expensive, some argue that they are reasonable in proportion to the services provided.
