Turkish Nights in Fethiye Attract Great Interest from Foreign Tourists

One of the most popular events of the tourism season in Fethiye, Turkish nights offer foreign tourists an unforgettable cultural experience. Özgür Koyuncu, a member of the performance team, stated that they aim to promote Turkish culture in the organized events and that tourists show great interest in these activities.
Koyuncu, who said he is originally from Fethiye, mentioned that he works as a teacher in village schools during the winter months and contributes to tourism by performing on stage during the Turkish nights in the summer season.
Explaining that folk dances from seven regions of Turkey are performed at the Turkish nights, Koyuncu said, "In the concept nights held at hotels, we both perform folk dances and offer guests flavors from Turkish cuisine. Especially foreign tourists show great interest in these nights. They find the opportunity to get to know Turkish culture closely."
Stating that the events are mainly held in hotels, Koyuncu said they also perform occasionally at private events. He added, "We perform at weddings, private invitations, and on boats, but generally we meet tourists at hotels during the summer season."
Turkish nights organized in Fethiye bring together many cultural elements from folk dances to traditional flavors, contributing to regional tourism while providing foreign visitors the chance to closely get to know Turkish culture.
