China route continues for Russian tourists: New regulation revealed

A notable new project is being implemented in the tourism sector in China.

The hotel being built on West Artificial Island on the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is planned to be fully operated by robots and artificial intelligence systems. The project aims to open in 2027. In the first phase, a limited service test process will be conducted to test the system with real guests.

Hotel concept entrusted to robots

In the new generation hotel, robots will perform duties instead of human personnel.
It is planned for all processes such as reception, check-in procedures, room service, cleaning, luggage carrying, food and beverage service, and guest support to be conducted by robots.

The system is based on a fully integrated artificial intelligence infrastructure, unlike classic automation applications.

Special robots for different tasks

Instead of a single type of robot, different robot models developed for various tasks will be used in the project. Robots greeting guests, those doing room service, handling cleaning tasks, and carrying luggage will operate as separate systems.
While each robot operates in its own task area, coordination will be ensured over a common network.

Artificial intelligence-supported service network

One of the most striking aspects of the hotel is that the robots will not communicate independently but through a closed artificial intelligence system. With the PuduFM 1.0 artificial intelligence system and PuduAgent platform, it is planned to manage all operations from a single center. Robots are expected to share data with each other and carry out tasks simultaneously.

Trial period to begin in 2026

The hotel is planned to be tested at limited capacity by the end of 2026. The first visitors will experience services such as robotic welcome, smart check-in, and autonomous room delivery. This process will allow the system to be tested with real users.

44-room technology facility

The project includes 44 high-standard rooms in the hotel. In addition, there will be a restaurant, gym, and social areas. The facility is stated to be designed not only for accommodation but also as a technology experience area.

Tourism island target

West Artificial Island is planned to be developed not just as a hotel but as a robotic and artificial intelligence-focused tourism center. If successful, the system is intended to be expanded to different areas.
