Tourism sector representatives came together
At the "Welcome to the Season" meeting organized by the South Aegean Tourist Hoteliers and Operators Association (GETOB) in the Datça district of Muğla, tourism sector representatives gathered to make evaluations before the new season.
The "Welcome to the Season" meeting organized by the South Aegean Tourist Hoteliers and Operators Association (GETOB) was held. The program, which brought together leading representatives of the tourism sector, public institutions and regional stakeholders, put evaluations of Datça tourism on the table. Datça District Governor Murat Atıcı, Garrison Commander Ersan Şimşek, GETOB President Cengiz Aygün, and many guests attended the event. While the sector's expectations, season evaluations, opportunities, and potential challenges were discussed in the program, there was an exchange of ideas aimed at the future of Datça tourism and strengthening cooperation within the sector. In his speech, Datça District Governor Murat Atıcı drew attention to the district's natural and cultural riches, saying, "If there is a place called paradise in the world, it is Turkey. If there is a place called paradise in Turkey, it is Muğla. And if there is a place called paradise in Muğla, I think it is Datça."

Highlighting Datça's 226-kilometer coastline, 52 bays, and its importance as a tourism center with its historical and touristic values, District Governor Atıcı said, "We will continue to welcome our guests with our smiling faces, reasonable prices, sea, beautiful weather, and peaceful environment."
Hotel operator Süleyman Yıldız, speaking as the host, said, "Let’s have a beautiful and enjoyable season. We all truly need this very much. Let it be a nice, profitable season."
The program, completed with sincere conversations and exchanges of views among sector representatives, ended with messages emphasizing the importance of solidarity and joint action in tourism.
