Sarıhan raised citizens' complaints at the Fethiye Municipal Council

At the Fethiye Municipal Council July Meeting, after discussing the agenda items, AK Party Fethiye District President Kadir Sarıhan took the floor and brought the problems and requests conveyed by citizens to the council agenda.

First drawing attention to the increased mosquito problem during the summer months, Sarıhan stated that he knows that spraying works are carried out by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and requested the issue to be communicated to the Metropolitan Municipality through Fethiye Municipality. Sarıhan said, "There are too many mosquitoes. I know that spraying is done by the Metropolitan. We request that you convey this to the Metropolitan and increase the spraying. There really is a dense mosquito problem in Fethiye that disturbs our citizens."

Call for maintenance for damaged roads in side streets

Expressing that the busiest period of the tourism season has been entered, Sarıhan said that the degraded asphalt in especially the side streets poses risks for both citizens and drivers. Sarıhan stated, "Our district's streets and avenues are quite busy these days when the tourism season speeds up. Including side streets, we receive many complaints about places needing patchwork and where asphalt deformations exist. We request our Directorate of Public Works to carry out the necessary maintenance and repairs in these areas."

Requested an increase in inspections of exorbitant prices

Pointing out that the high price policies applied by some businesses during the tourism season damage Fethiye's image, Sarıhan asked the municipality to increase its inspections. Noting that some individuals and businesses abuse their pricing policies, Sarıhan said, "Such practices, which could become the disgrace of our district, cause Fethiye to be negatively recognized. Security forces are conducting the necessary work, but we also request that our municipality increase its inspections in this regard."

Answer to the Ovacık road question in the council

At the end of his speech, Sarıhan addressed a question from citizens to the council, asking whether a new junction would be constructed due to the works on the Ovacık road. The evaluation in the council stated that no new junction work is planned in the area, clarifying the subject with the words, "There is nothing like that. Having a junction there would already cause serious problems."
