Osman Gürün also resigned from CHP, eyes are on CHP mayors

Former Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Gürün announced that he resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP). Eyes are on the CHP mayors in Muğla..

Gürün, who served as the mayor in Muğla for approximately 25 years, announced that he will continue his political journey in the New Party established under the leadership of Özgür Özel.

Sharing his resignation decision with the public, Gürün stated that it was not easy for him to leave the party he had served for many years and used the following expressions:

"It is emotionally very difficult for me to leave a party that I have served under for such a long time. However, I evaluated this decision not emotionally, but within the framework of logic. I believed that this was what needed to be done. On the first working day, Monday, I unfortunately had to leave my party."

Osman Gürün, who also announced that he will join the New Party, said that he will complete the membership process after the party’s organization is finalized.

Gürün said, "After the organizational chart of the New Party is finalized, I will register on Wednesday or at the latest on Friday."

With Osman Gürün’s resignation, a new significant name has been added to those who left CHP and joined the New Party.
