Russian Tourists Loved Bodrum: More Than 6 Thousand Passengers Arrived in the Last Week
Bodrum, Muğla's world-famous tourism center, continues to experience busy days in cruise tourism. The fact that Russian tourists started to prefer Bodrum again after many years has created satisfaction in the tourism sector and among local tradespeople.
The Malta-flagged Aroya cruise ship, 335 meters long, has recently carried thousands of passengers to Bodrum Cruise Port with its cruises. In three separate voyages of the ship, a total of 6,158 passengers and 3,159 staff arrived in Bodrum. Thus, the number of people entering the port with the ship in the last week exceeded 9,000.
According to information obtained, the majority of passengers on Aroya's voyages were Russian tourists. After a long break, Russian tourists have started to come to Bodrum again, showing intense interest especially in the city center, marina area, historical sites, and shopping areas.
Merchants Are Happy
Tourists arriving by cruise ships shopping in the city center brought liveliness to restaurants, cafes, and souvenir businesses. Bodrum tradespeople stated that especially Russian tourists have a high spending tendency and expressed increased hopes for the rest of the season.
Representatives of the tourism sector emphasized that including Russian tourists in Bodrum's routes again will provide a significant contribution to the regional economy and pointed out that cruise tourism is one of the most important elements that stimulate trade in the city center.

According to Bodrum Cruise Port data, many cruise ships docked in Bodrum in the last month. The influx of thousands of foreign tourists shows that cruise tourism is experiencing one of the busiest periods of the season in the city.
In the last three voyages of the Aroya ship, more than 6,000 passengers, mainly Russians, once again demonstrated Bodrum's appeal in the international tourism market. Tourism professionals expect the number of cruise ships and passenger traffic to increase even further in the coming weeks.
Officials stated that cruise tourism directly contributes to Bodrum's economy, especially that daily visitors generate significant income for businesses in the city center. The fact that Russian tourists have started to prefer Bodrum again is considered one of the most positive developments of the season by both the tourism sector and local tradespeople.
