Ölüdeniz, one of Turkey's most important paragliding centers, has entered the new season with intense interest. Businesses operating in the region, especially Fly Laputa, bring local and foreign tourists together with the sky through flights conducted from Babadağ.

Ölüdeniz, one of Turkey's most prestigious addresses in the paragliding world, made a strong start to the 2026 season.

Despite the fluctuations in global tourism, the Fethiye region continues to attract visitors with its natural beauties and the unique flight experience offered by Babadağ.

The unique geography and flight points of Babadağ

Babadağ, located on the Lycian Way and notable with its altitude of 1,960 meters, stands out not only for paragliding but also as an important center in terms of nature walks, photography, and nature tourism.

Paragliding flights in the region are organized especially by Fly Laputa and other local businesses. The takeoff runways at different altitudes on Babadağ vary according to flight duration and experience level. Flights from the upper runway offer a longer and panoramic experience, while the middle runway provides a more dynamic flight opportunity. Both points offer a unique view of Ölüdeniz's turquoise sea and the surrounding green forest texture.

Flights are conducted at different times of the day

Flights at Babadağ are carried out at different times of the day depending on weather conditions. Morning hours, due to calm air conditions, are preferred especially by beginners, while thermal currents at noon allow longer and more active flights. In the evening hours, smoother landings are made along with the sea breeze.

Participation requirements in tandem paragliding

Tandem paragliding flights at businesses operating in Ölüdeniz like Fly Laputa are carried out under the supervision of trained pilots. Participants do not need to have any experience. The minimum age limit for flights is set at 5, with no upper age limit. For safety reasons, the maximum weight limit is applied as 110 kilograms. Flights are not recommended for pregnant women and individuals with serious health problems.

Strong preparation for the season

Businesses operating in the region have renewed their equipment before the new season and raised safety standards to an international level. Officials from Fly Laputa state that Ölüdeniz continues to sustain its position as a world brand in paragliding and that they expect high demand throughout the season.
