MUPA Examined Local Development Models in China
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality subsidiary Muğla Planning Agency (MUPA) participated in the 'Seminar on News OfficialsandJournalistsfromthe Global South' program held in China, gaining the opportunity to examine international practices in public policies, local development, and planning on site.
The program organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ankara aimed to strengthen information and experience sharing among Global South countries, enhance inter-institutional collaborations, and increase interaction among peoples. The program covered applications in public administration, development policies, and local planning.
Public Policies and Digital Transformation Were Discussed
In the sessions held during the program, presentations were made on public communication, development policies, digital transformation, and international cooperation. Participants from different countries shared their experiences in public administration and development, exchanging views on solution proposals for common issues and good practice examples.
Development Models Evaluated Through On-Site Inspections
During field visits organized to Yinchuan and Minning Town as part of the seminar, the practical outcomes of the planned development concept were examined on site. While the impacts of long-term public policies on regional development and rural transformation were evaluated, the practices and development models of local administrations were closely observed.
Experiences Will Contribute to Planning Efforts in Muğla
The knowledge and experiences gained throughout the program are intended to be utilized in data-based planning, research, and policy development activities carried out by the Muğla Planning Agency. It is aimed that the gains obtained from on-site examination of good practice examples in different countries will contribute to Muğla's local development vision and planning efforts.
