Muğla delegation discussed TOKİ and zoning issues with Minister Kurum
AK Party Muğla delegation met with the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum. The meeting addressed 1,100 TOKİ houses in Menteşe, Special Environmental Protection areas in Marmaris, cleaning of Kızkumu Beach, and personnel and vehicle needs.
AK Party Muğla Provincial Chairman Cengizhan Güngör, Muğla deputies Kadem Mete and Yakup Otgöz visited the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum together. The meeting covered TOKİ projects planned to be built in Muğla, zoning works within the Special Environmental Protection Area, cleaning of Kızkumu Beach in Orhaniye, Marmaris, and personnel, vehicle and equipment needs.
Judicial decision awaited for TOKİ houses in Menteşe
After the meeting, AK Party Muğla Provincial Chairman Cengizhan Güngör and deputies Kadem Mete and Yakup Otgöz made a written statement.
It was stated in the announcement that the land allocation works for 1,100 houses planned by TOKİ and drawn by lottery in 2022 in Menteşe district have reached the final stage.
It was mentioned in the statement that TEMA Foundation objected to the area determined, and the issue was taken to the judiciary, and the judicial decision is awaited. It was reported that the works will start rapidly after the decision.

Cleaning work planned for Kızkumu Beach
Kızkumu Beach, located in Marmaris Orhaniye Neighborhood, also came to the agenda during the delegation’s meeting with Minister Kurum. The statement said that a cleaning operation is planned because the world-famous beach has been filled with gravel and sand from the existing streams.
The cleaning at Kızkumu Beach will be carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, with vehicle, equipment, and team support from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Zoning works in the SEPA areas of Marmaris are at final stage
The statement also covered the zoning works in Marmaris, which have been on the agenda for a long time. It was noted that zoning works in rural neighborhoods within the Special Environmental Protection Area are nearing completion.
In the joint statement of Güngör, Mete, and Otgöz, it was said, “Good news for the people of Marmaris. The zoning works in villages of Marmaris within the SEPA area, which have been on agenda for a long time, are in the final stage.”

Muğla’s needs conveyed to Minister Kurum
Personnel, vehicle and equipment needs across Muğla were also discussed during the meeting. It was stated that necessary work continues to address these needs.
