Marmaris Launched Promotion in London for the 2026 Season

The Marmaris promotion campaign has started in London. English tourists are being targeted directly with bus and metro advertisements.

Marmaris has launched a promotional campaign in the busiest areas of London to increase its visibility in the UK market. The campaign, initiated by the Marmaris Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with YDA Dalaman Airport and the Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry, began on June 1 and will continue until October 31. London's iconic red buses were wrapped with images of Marmaris and Fethiye, and digital metro screens were also included in the campaign. The aim is to keep interest in the region alive before the 2026 tourism season.

Marmaris Showcased on London Buses

As part of the campaign, 20 red double-decker buses, which have become symbols of London, were wrapped with visuals of Marmaris and Fethiye. One side of the buses promotes Marmaris, while the other promotes Fethiye. These buses operate on the busiest routes in London such as Regent Street, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and Trafalgar Square. Thus, the Marmaris promotional campaign extends beyond tourism fairs and enters the city's daily life. The visuals placed along routes frequented by millions of people daily directly bring the district's sea, nature, and holiday identity to the center of the UK market.

Why the UK Market is Important for Marmaris

The UK stands out as one of the strong source markets for Marmaris and Muğla tourism. The preference of British tourists for the region over many years makes the promotional activities more strategic. With this campaign, the Marmaris Chamber of Commerce aims to highlight the district's natural beauties and increase the international recognition of the Marmaris brand. Outdoor advertisements are seen as an effective tool in this goal because they directly reach potential visitors. The timing of the campaign also draws attention as preparation for the 2026 tourism season. Starting during the summer period, the promotion brings Marmaris back into the agenda in the UK market where holiday planning is done early.

Marmaris and Fethiye United in the Same Campaign

The promotional push was not limited to Marmaris alone. Fethiye was also included in the campaign alongside Marmaris. The cooperation between YDA Dalaman Airport and the Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry aims to increase the joint visibility of two important tourism centers that use the Dalaman route. This joint structure creates a holistic promotional model for regional tourism. Having Marmaris and Fethiye on the two sides of the buses in London offers British tourists a broader holiday route rather than a single destination. Highlighting access to the region via Dalaman Airport also strengthens the practical effect of the campaign.

Digital Metro Screens Enhance the Campaign's Impact

The outdoor advertising campaign is not limited to London buses. The digital screens at Tottenham Court Road underground station are also used to promote Marmaris and Fethiye. Located in one of London's busiest metro stations, these digital advertisements increase the number of city-wide impressions of the campaign.
