Global military power report published: Maroon Berets broke the record

Global Firepower shared with the public its new evaluation report that scrutinizes the strategic striking power of armies worldwide. The critical role played by special forces in the face of increasing hybrid threats today formed the basis of this year's analysis. Experts applied tough military criteria while ranking the units.

EMPHASIS ON FIELD EXPERIENCE IN THE EVALUATION

In the preparation process of the list, only theoretical training standards were not considered. The operational successes of the units in active conflict zones were the primary evaluation criteria. In addition, their unconventional warfare capabilities and speeds in intelligence-based pinpoint operations were also taken into account. Units that best reflected technological integration on the ground stood out in the ranking.

MAROON BERETS OVERCAME CHALLENGING GEOGRAPHIES

One of the most notable sections of the report was Turkey's position in the ranking. The Special Forces Command, known as the "Maroon Berets," made a mark on the list with their intense field experience in counter-terrorism and cross-border operations. The units' flexibility under difficult geographical conditions and their high success rate directly reflected in the analysts' report. With this military momentum, the Turkish Special Forces ranked fourth among the global giants.

The top two ranks of the evaluation were shared by the United States and United Kingdom elements with their extensive logistical networks and global operational capabilities. According to the published official evaluation report, the world's most elite special forces units were ranked as follows:
