First flight from Kazakhstan to Dalaman

176 passengers arriving at Dalaman Airport in the first flight from Almaty as part of direct flights from Kazakhstan to Dalaman district of Muğla, were welcomed at the terminal by airport officials with flowers and traditional Kazakh treats.

This new connection was announced as an important step towards strengthening Dalaman Airport's international flight network and opening the region to different markets. During the flights that will continue throughout the summer season, Air Astana will operate 4 flights per week from Kazakhstan to Dalaman.

The schedule includes 2 frequencies from Almaty and 2 from Astana. As part of welcoming the first passengers from Kazakhstan, carnations were presented to Kazakh passengers, and treats prepared from traditional Kazakh flavors such as Baursak and Jent were offered. The flight crew was also given flowers and cake as a memento of the day.

With the increasing interest from the Kazakhstan market towards Turkey and especially Muğla in recent years, the flights initiated to Dalaman are expected to make a significant contribution to regional tourism. Thanks to the new connection, access from Almaty and Astana to Dalaman will become faster and more comfortable; it is also aimed to strengthen the visibility of tourism destinations such as Fethiye, Marmaris, Göcek and surrounding areas in the Central Asian market.

With the flights that will continue throughout the season, it is expected to strengthen Dalaman Airport's international connection network, increase Muğla's accessibility in different markets, and support activity directed towards regional tourism.
