Kaputaş Beach is on the list of the top 10 beaches in Europe
Kaputaş in Kaş district of Antalya made it to the top 10 list prepared by European Best Destinations, delighting tourism professionals.
"Kaputaş Beach in Kaş, Turkey" also entered the "Europe's Best Beaches 2026" list. After preliminary selections, the list determined by a jury composed of international travelers placed Kaputaş at 9th place.
Featuring its turquoise color, sea, and impressive canyon view, Kaputaş being recognized among the best beaches in Europe is expected to contribute to regional tourism.
Mustafa Erman Günay, President of the Kaş Tourism and Promotion Association, stated that Kaputaş is one of the most beautiful beaches in the region.
Günay said, "Kaputaş, which has been shown as one of the best beaches in the world for years, was included in the list again this year. Also, Kaputaş was the only beach from Turkey to be on the list. Our beach has now become the face of Kaş that opens to the world. We welcome all visitors to Kaş and Kaputaş."
Holiday occupancy rates in Kaş reached 100%
Günay mentioned that Kaputaş Beach was also in the news in the past due to its construction process. He stated that there were casualties during the road construction, and after a challenging and laborious process, the region became accessible.
Emphasizing the beach’s special status with its nature, canyon, and sea, Günay said, "It is possible to see different shades of turquoise, blue, and sometimes green together here. It is a magnificent bay."
Günay noted that due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, there was an intense influx in the district and that accommodation facilities had reached 100% occupancy for about a week.
Ecrin Atılmaz, a holidaymaker visiting Kaputaş, expressed admiration for the natural beauty of the beach and said they spent the holiday in the district.
Atılmaz mentioned the unique view of Kaputaş where they could see every shade of blue, saying:
"One of the biggest features that distinguishes Kaputaş Beach from other beaches is that it has many stairs and it is located among the rocks. It has an incredible atmosphere. It looks as if Kaputaş Beach emerged where two mountains have split apart. We had seen it on the news. It is as beautiful as they said, a magnificent place. It is quite crowded due to incredible demand but still has a magical atmosphere."
Meanwhile, Kaputaş had previously been listed among the world's best beaches in various international lists.
