Mounted Gendarmerie Starts Duty in Fethiye Ölüdeniz

In Ölüdeniz Neighborhood of Fethiye district in Muğla, gendarmerie personnel consisting of three riders and three horse caretakers arrived from Nevşehir Gendarmerie Horse and Dog Training Command on temporary duty.

The gendarmerie teams, who will continue patrol activities for about two months, are stated to perform their duties this season with horses named “Ilgaz”, “Yetkin” and “Mergen.”

It was stated that the teams support security and public order efforts in the coastal strip, beaches, and areas with high tourist density.

Moreover, it was reported that the gendarmerie team, which includes personnel who speak foreign languages, provides information to tourists on security issues during their patrols.
