In the program, AK Party Deputy Chairperson Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and emphasized the meaning and importance of the holiday. Kaya said, “First of all, I want to convey to you the greetings of our President. Today, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we are together. I warmly congratulate each of you on the holiday. May God bless us with many more healthy and peaceful holidays. Sacrifice is not only an act of worship but also means getting closer; it has such significance. Today, we have come together to strengthen our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood over a nice dinner. I pray that God grants us many more holidays.”

“We want to bring our children together with grandfathers and grandmothers”
Highlighting the importance of intergenerational solidarity, Kaya said, “We feel that sharing the same table with the elders, especially those living in our nursing homes, is very important for intergenerational solidarity and togetherness. Therefore, as AK Party, especially during this period we declared as the Decade of Family, we are implementing new projects to bring our children and grandchildren together with grandfathers and grandmothers and to strengthen intergenerational solidarity. Today, we are happy to bring together our children in foster homes with our elders around the same holiday table here. God willing, may He grant us many more healthy and peaceful holidays.”
“First a Terror-Free Turkey, then a Terror-Free Region”
Stating that Turkey is going through an important process, Kaya said: “We have martyrs’ relatives among us. We have precious veterans. Turkey is going through an important process that we call ‘Terror-Free Turkey.’ We have completely eliminated the terrorist organization within our territories. God willing, we will complete the process of first a Terror-Free Turkey and then a terror-free region. We will add strength to our country's power. Today, the world is going through great pains both politically, democratically, and economically. We really see that the whole world is experiencing great difficulties. While such great difficulties are taking place, our country becomes the guarantee of peace and tranquility both on the field and at the table. Under the leadership of our President, Turkey today is much stronger than yesterday. With God’s permission, we are meticulously and carefully working to complete the Terror-Free Turkey process so that our tomorrows will be stronger than today.”

“We consider serving our martyrs’ relatives a duty”
Addressing martyrs' families and veterans, Kaya said, “Dear martyrs’ relatives, precious, blessed martyr mothers; we consider serving you a duty. As our President stated on the day our party was founded, ‘We will be the guardian of the helplessness, and servants of this nation.’ For us, every day, not only holidays but every day is seen as an occasion to come together with you and strengthen our heartfelt bonds. I would like to express once again my great pleasure to be among you during this holiday, in Muğla, my father's hometown, in Fethiye, and Seydikemer. I warmly congratulate each of you and your families on the holiday once again.”
“We wanted to share our joy”
AK Party Muğla Provincial Board Member and Provincial Social Policies President Tuğçe Kandemir said they wanted to share the holiday joy with all segments of society and spoke as follows: “We wanted to share our joy. I thank our precious Deputy Chairperson and Social Policies President Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who honored us with her attendance at our program. I express my gratitude to the families entrusted to us by our martyrs, our veterans who served the homeland selflessly, our elders who guide us with their life experiences, and our children who are the guarantee of our future. On this occasion, I sincerely wish a happy Eid al-Adha to all our fellow citizens, and I wish many healthy, peaceful, and prosperous holidays. Happy holiday.”
“A beautiful example of the social state understanding”
AK Party Fethiye District President Kadir Sarıhan said the program brought different generations together at the same table and stated: “With the attendance of Mahmut Topal, President of the Martyrs' Families and Veterans Association, along with Seydikemer and Fethiye, we have among us the families of our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect our Republic and National Pact borders, as well as our veterans who lost limbs and were wounded physically and mentally but showed sacrifice for this homeland. Here, we see an example of social policies, which are required by being a social state and are the most valued by our government, from age seven to seventy.”
“Our children and elders at the same table”
Sarıhan continued his speech: “Here, our young people from foster homes, along with elders who have grown older, gained seniority and life experience, nursing home residents and regular visitors, are having a very nice and enjoyable dinner together. We greeted and exchanged holiday wishes with our valuable guests at our tables together with our Minister. May their smiling faces and joy never diminish and may they be healthy. May our worst days be spent with joy and pleasure as today.”

“She gave important supports to Fethiye and Seydikemer”
Sarıhan also touched upon the supports given by Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya to the region, saying: “As I mentioned earlier, our Minister always visits Fethiye as a person from this land, never leaves us alone, and makes positive discrimination towards Fethiye and Seydikemer. Even if she does not advertise it much, she is one of the architects and biggest supporters of the investments made in Fethiye and our region. For this reason, first and foremost, I thank our President and our Social Policies President Fatma Betül Hanım for the supports given as the Minister of the 65th Government.”
