Giant ship anchored at Marmaris Port with 2,500 passengers

Busy days continue in cruise tourism in Marmaris district of Muğla. In the last week, four cruise ships arriving in the district have carried thousands of foreign tourists to Marmaris.

The Malta-flagged cruise ship named Marella Discovery, 264 meters long, which set off from Patmos at night and arrived in Marmaris in the morning hours, anchored at Marmaris Customs Port. It was learned that there were 2,509 people on board, consisting of 1,790 passengers, mostly British tourists, and 719 crew members.

After the completion of port and customs procedures, tourists spread throughout the district to visit the historical and touristic spots of Marmaris and explore different places through tours. While most passengers spent time in the market, yacht marina, and coastal areas, some tourists were seen participating in environmental tours and shopping programs.

It was reported that Marella Discovery would leave Marmaris Port in the evening and head to its next stop, Alanya Port.
