24-Hour Service Period Started at Bodrum Port

Bodrum Port Sea Border Gate started to provide 24/7 service as of June 2, 2026. The application will accelerate marine tourism and port traffic.

A new period has started at the International Bodrum Port operated by MUTTAŞ, a subsidiary of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. Bodrum Port Sea Border Gate has started to provide uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as of June 2, 2026. With this implementation, it is aimed to accelerate transactions in yacht and boat traffic and reduce the density during the summer season.

New Period at Bodrum Port

In Bodrum, one of the most important centers of Muğla in terms of marine tourism, an impressive application in port services has been implemented. At the International Bodrum Port operated by MUTTAŞ Urban Services Inc., a subsidiary of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the Sea Border Gate will now serve on a 24/7 basis.

The application, which started as of June 2, 2026, will provide significant convenience especially in terms of increased yacht and boat movements during the summer season.

Customs and Marine Police Will Also Serve at Night

Within the scope of the new working system, customs, marine police, and port operating units will provide uninterrupted service during nighttime hours as well. Thus, procedures for boats wishing to enter and exit the port will not be limited to working hours only.

With this regulation, it is aimed to carry out operational processes in yacht and boat traffic faster, more flexible, and in a planned manner.

Waiting Times Will Decrease During Entry-Exit Procedures

With the transition to the 24-hour service period at Bodrum Port Sea Border Gate, it is expected that waiting times, especially caused by heavy traffic during the tourism season, will be reduced.

The ability of boats to enter and exit the port at any hour of the day will provide an important advantage both for seafarers and port operators. The application is also expected to strengthen Bodrum's position in international marine tourism.

Contribution to Marine Tourism and Regional Economy

Bodrum Port, which provides services at international standards, will continue to offer faster, more comfortable, and uninterrupted services to domestic and foreign mariners with the 24/7 working system.

The new application is expected not only to positively affect marine tourism but also commercial activities and the local economy in the region. Considering the increased marine traffic in Bodrum during the summer season, the uninterrupted service system is regarded as an important transformation in port operations.
