Ajet launches direct flight between two tourism centers

AJet will start direct flights between Milas-Bodrum and Kayseri Erkilet Airport as of June 27, 2026.

Turkey's two major tourism destinations Bodrum and Cappadocia are being connected by a new transportation line.

Direct flights to be launched by AJet between Milas-Bodrum Airport and Kayseri Erkilet Airport will start passenger transport as of June 27, 2026.

Two-way flights twice a week

Flights on the new line will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. With flights taking approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes, direct transportation without transfers will be provided from Bodrum to Cappadocia and from Cappadocia to Bodrum.

Goal of integration in tourism

The new line is expected to provide significant convenience for domestic and foreign tourists who want to combine seaside tourism on the Aegean coast with cultural and experiential tourism in Cappadocia within the same travel plan. Additionally, the line is projected to contribute to tourism integration between destinations in Turkey.

Contribution to regional economy

The new flights are expected to positively impact overnight stays, hotel occupancy rates, and the local experience economy in Cappadocia. It is also considered an important advantage that international visitors coming to Bodrum will be able to more easily include Cappadocia in their travel programs.

"A strategic connection for Turkey's tourism"

Ömer Tosun, Chairman of the Board of the Cappadocia Area Tourism Investors Association (KAPYAD), stated that the line is a strategic step for Turkey's tourism. Tosun said in a statement: "Positioning Cappadocia as a strong destination will be possible not only through promotional activities but also with concrete transportation steps increasing accessibility. At KAPYAD, we have long expressed the need to increase direct connections between Bodrum and similar strong tourism centers and Cappadocia in relevant platforms and in the reports we have prepared."

Ömer Tosun added: "The Bodrum–Kayseri direct flights starting on June 27 are an important step facilitating access from the Aegean coast to Cappadocia. With this line, tourists will be able to plan their travels in Turkey without limiting themselves to a single destination, integrating seaside tourism with culture, history, gastronomy, and experiential tourism along the same route."
