Turkey breaks record in agriculture with 83.2 billion dollars: First in Europe, 7th in the world
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made statements about Turkey's agricultural output last year.
Minister Yumaklı, who used expressions like "Historical record in agriculture" and "Turkey at the top in the global league," emphasized that according to the World Bank's 2025 Agricultural Output Report, the agricultural output exceeded the 80 billion dollar threshold for the first time in history, reaching 83.2 billion dollars.
Yumaklı highlighted that Turkey ranks first in Europe and seventh in the world in agricultural output, and said, "I sincerely thank all our producers, farmers, exporters, and industrialists who give life to the soil and bring us this pride. The abundance of Anatolia will continue to be Turkey's strength."
According to the agricultural output data of countries, Turkey ranked 12th in the world with 24.5 billion dollars in 2002, and rose to 8th place in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Republic, with 72.9 billion dollars. With the continuation of the increase in agricultural output in the country in the following years, a record was broken as of last year.
At the top of the list was China with an output exceeding 1 trillion 298 billion dollars.
