The Second Term of Bodrum Municipality's Agriculture Camp Has Been Completed
The second term of the Agriculture Camp, organized by Bodrum Municipality to bring young people together with agriculture, production, and sustainable living, has been successfully completed. Participants received their certificates at the award ceremony held at the end of the camp conducted at Garaova Agriculture Park.
Coordinated by Bodrum Municipality Agricultural Services Directorate, the camp offered young people a hands-on experience of different stages of agricultural production throughout the education program intertwined with nature. Young participants, who took part in trainings on sustainable agriculture, ecological living, and rural production culture, gained both theoretical and practical knowledge, closely learning about production processes.
Starting at the first light of dawn, participants were directly involved in the production process by harvesting lavender in the fertile lands of Garaova. After the harvest, a breakfast program was held, along with practical trainings throughout the day, providing the youth a nature-immersive camp experience. They also visited production areas on the Agro Bodrum route, having the opportunity to explore the region's agricultural potential up close.
At the certificate ceremony, attended by Sinem Uyar Kuyumcu, Director of Bodrum Municipality Agricultural Services, certificates were presented to participants who successfully completed the camp. The ceremony highlighted the significance of projects encouraging youth participation in production, noting that the camp provided participants with both agricultural knowledge and a strong connection with nature.
With the completion of the second phase of Bodrum Municipality's Agriculture Camp, planned in a total of three terms, many young people interested in agriculture came together with production. In the third term, it is aimed to bring young people together with practical trainings on agriculture, sustainability, and rural life at Garaova Agriculture Park. Bodrum Municipality continues its projects that connect youth with production and increase agricultural awareness.
