In Muğla's Seydikemer district, after a forest fire that started in Bayır Neighborhood and spread to Sarıyer, Çökek, Çatak, Kayacık, and Dere neighborhoods and was brought under control following a 34-hour intensive struggle, efforts continue to heal the wounds.
While the intervention to the forest fire near Bayır Neighborhood in Seydikemer district of Muğla continues uninterruptedly, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality also took part in the field with all its relevant units. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras conducted inspections at the fire site.
Muğla Governorship shared the latest status regarding the forest fire in the Seydikemer district. The statement reported that 23 air vehicles, 137 ground units, and 835 personnel intervened in the fire, 202 citizens living in 121 households were evacuated, and 45 patients in Seydikemer State Hospital were transferred to Fethiye State Hospital as a precautionary measure.
The fire that started in the agricultural area near Bayır Neighborhood of Seydikemer district in the morning spread to the forested area due to strong winds. Intensive intervention is ongoing from the air and land.
