The 2nd Term Award Ceremony of the 2025–2026 Academic Year organized by Seydikemer District National Education Directorate was held with the intense participation of the district protocol, education administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
At the ceremony held to encourage success in education and motivate students; students who achieved significant rankings in the fields of education, science, art, culture, and social areas received their awards.

The ceremony was attended by District Governor Mustafa Dilekli, Mayor B. TZOB General President Şemsi Bayraktar announced that 151 producers were affected by the forest fire in Seydikemer, and 2,128 decares of agricultural land and 45 houses were damaged.
In Muğla's Seydikemer district, after a forest fire that started in Bayır Neighborhood and spread to Sarıyer, Çökek, Çatak, Kayacık, and Dere neighborhoods and was brought under control following a 34-hour intensive struggle, efforts continue to heal the wounds.
AK Party Muğla Deputy Yakup Otgöz stated that the forest fire, which reignited in Fethiye's Yeşilüzümlü Neighborhood, has been brought under control, emphasizing the great importance of citizens' sensitivity in preventing forest fires. Otgöz expressed that state institutions and citizens are acting with a spirit of mobilization in the fight against the fire.
Seydikemer District Governorate announced that upon a report of a cigarette butt being thrown from a vehicle near the fire area on Söğüt road at Bayır location, the vehicle was identified and the necessary penalty was applied to the driver. The Governorate called on citizens to be more careful against the risk of forest fires.
The forest fire that started in the Bayır area of Seydikemer and reached Çatak Neighborhood, which has largely been brought under control, damaged some homes. Mustafa Korkan, a resident whose house was completely burned down, described the progression of the fire and their helplessness.
