The Traditional Keşkek Festival organized by the Bursa Muğlalılar Association brought together hundreds of participants from different professional groups and various segments of society at the same table. At the event where Muğla culture was kept alive, friendships were renewed, and hometown ties were strengthened.
Bursa Muğlalılar Association, aiming to keep Muğla's cultural richness alive in Bursa, brought together fellow townsmen again at this year's Traditional Keşkek Festival. Throughout the day-long event, cultural values were highlighted, and participants conveyed messages of unity and solidarity.
In the program hosted by Dr. Ramazan Akan, the zeybek dances, which are symbols of the Muğla region, attracted great attention. The guests filling the festival area watched the performances reflecting the local culture with admiration, and a sincere and warm atmosphere prevailed throughout the event.
The festival was attended by Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın, Osmangazi Municipality Press and Public Relations Director Süleyman Çavlı, Bursa Regional Forest Director Erdal Şahan, Bursa Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Kamil Özer, as well as judiciary members, academicians, healthcare workers, representatives of public institutions, leaders of non-governmental organizations, and a large number of citizens. President of the Istanbul Muğla Association Ahmet Çakırağa and the association's founding president Mehmet Eşkişar also participated in the program and supported the organization. Muğla residents living in Bursa enjoyed relieving their longing through long conversations and experienced the joy of coming together around shared cultural values.
Dr. Ramazan Akan, President of the Bursa Muğla Association, emphasized the importance of keeping Muğla culture alive in Bursa and passing it on to future generations. Akan stated, “Our goal is not just to organize a festival; it is to keep our culture alive, bring our fellow townspeople together, and strengthen our unity and solidarity. I thank all protocol members, our guests, supporting institutions and organizations, our artists, and everyone who contributed for honoring us by participating in our festival.”
The serving of keşkek, one of the traditional delicacies, was one of the most striking parts of the event. Participants sharing the same table stated that such gatherings are not only a celebration but also important events that contribute to keeping the cultural memory alive.
The festival, highlighting Muğla's culture, traditions, and spirit of solidarity, ended with the satisfaction of the participants.
