Work on the Karabel Tunnel Project, expected to make transportation between the districts of Fethiye and Seydikemer in Muğla safer and more comfortable, is accelerating. The teams preparing for the new phase of the project stated that approximately 2 kilometers more of the tunnel will be excavated.
With the completion of the Karabel Tunnel, which is of great importance for regional transportation, it is aimed to make the transportation between Fethiye and Seydikemer faster and safer.
While aiming to reduce problems especially on the route with heavy traffic and winding roads, the project will also contribute to the regional economy and tourism.
Authorities stated that the preparation process in tunnel works is ongoing and excavation activities will resume once the necessary work is completed.
With the opening of the Karabel Tunnel, it is expected to provide drivers with a safer transportation option and also shorten the travel time between the two districts.
