Colorful scenes were experienced throughout the day in Göcek as part of the 23rd Göcek-Gürsu-Pırnaz Highland Walk, organized under the leadership of Fethiye Municipality and regarded as one of the largest highland migrations of the Western Taurus Mountains.
The events started with a parade march beginning in front of Göcek Cultural Center. In the march, which was held with intense participation, citizens shared the enthusiasm of the event accompanied by visuals bearing traces of Yörük culture and a traditional atmosphere.
In the procession, the President of the Toroslar Yörük Türkmen Federation, İsmail Uzunoğlu, also participated and stood with the marchers, sharing information about the history of the event.
The enthusiasm reached its peak with the concert program held at Göcek Square right after the parade. At the night where Fethiye Municipality artists Mustafa Selçukoğlu, Aysun Karasaçlı, and Ali Tunç performed, the citizens joined in singing the songs together. The crowd filling the square enjoyed pleasant moments during the music-filled evening.
The event, organized to keep the highland culture alive and to promote the natural beauties of the region, received great appreciation from the participants with both the parade march and the concert program.
