Fethiye on the World Stage in Bicycle Tourism

Representatives from Fethiye attending the 46th Velo-city 2026 Conference held in Rimini, Italy, introduced the district's natural beauties, historical riches, and projects related to bicycle tourism. At the conference, the Ancient Pedal routes of Fethiye, stretching with views of nature and the sea, were highlighted. As part of efforts to extend tourism throughout the year, it is aimed for bicycle tourism to hold an important place among Fethiye's alternative tourism areas.

In the presentations at the conference, historical routes bearing traces of the Lycian civilization, natural trails, and bicycle routes developed within the framework of sustainable transportation were introduced to international tourism professionals.

Ancient Pedal Routes Attracted Interest

It was emphasized that the Ancient Pedal routes created in the unique geography of Fethiye offer important opportunities for sports tourism and sustainable tourism. It was stated that the routes shared with the participants provide an opportunity to experience the region's cultural heritage and natural beauties together.
