Historic Visit from the Chinese Ambassador

The Fethiye district continues to host high-level Chinese guests. Meifen Zhou, Cultural Attaché of the Chinese Embassy, who came to the district to discuss the details of the Chinese Ambassador's upcoming visit to Fethiye next month with a large group, made a paragliding jump from Babadağ. After the jump with a unique view of Ölüdeniz, Zhou expressed her admiration for the region.

Chinese Diplomat Enthralled by Fethiye

Arriving in Fethiye to hold meetings with municipal officials, Meifen Zhou, the Cultural and Tourism Attaché of the Chinese Embassy, along with embassy diplomats Yuzhe Hu and Chao Gao, headed to Babadağ at an altitude of 1969 meters after their discussions. The Chinese diplomats enjoyed thrilling moments in the sky by tandem paragliding jumps from Babadağ. Flying with experienced paragliding pilot Zafer Şekerci and his team, the Chinese diplomats stated, "We have flown from Babadağ before, but every time we are amazed by the view of Ölüdeniz."

Chinese diplomats later obtained information from officials about the Butterfly Valley they passed through and stated that they would make efforts to include this area in the programs of Chinese tourists in Fethiye. Meanwhile, it was learned that it has been confirmed that China's Ambassador to Turkey, Jiang Xuebin, will make an official visit to Fethiye in July with a large diplomatic delegation and many university students coming from China.
