Fire in Yeşilüzümlü brought under control, cooling efforts started
In Yeşilüzümlü Neighborhood of Fethiye, cooling efforts have begun in the forest fire that was brought under control after a day-long intensive struggle by the teams. While the teams continue their work in the area, citizens also keep their help and support uninterrupted.
Good news has come regarding the forest fire affecting Yeşilüzümlü Neighborhood of Fethiye. According to the information obtained from officials, after intensive intervention carried out from air and land, the fire has been brought under control. Following the containment of the fire, teams started cooling efforts to prevent the risk of reignition in the area. The teams of the General Directorate of Forestry, fire department, AFAD and other organizations continue their work tirelessly by checking hot spots one by one.
While cooling efforts continue on one hand, exemplary solidarity of the people of Fethiye also continues on the other. Citizens who provided teams with water, ayran, food, masks, and fire extinguishers throughout the fire do not leave the personnel working in the cooling efforts alone. Materials brought to aid points established mainly at Çatalarık Yeni Neighborhood Social Facilities continue to be delivered to the teams working in the field through coordination teams.
