Children Will Spend the Summer at the Pool in Yatağan

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has started registrations for the free Summer School Swimming Course to be held at the Yatağan Hasan Haşmet Işık Swimming Pool Sports Facilities. With a quota of 120 people, children will have the opportunity to spend their summer vacation with sports in the courses.

Erhan Çetinkaya, Head of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality District Services 2nd Region Department, Mustafa Özpoyraz, Head of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, Yatağan Mayor Mesut Günay inspected the Hasan Haşmet Işık Swimming Pool Sports Facility, the sports hall, and the Emin Eller Day Care Home.

Free Swimming Training Will Be Provided

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has started registrations for the Summer School Swimming Course to be held at the Yatağan Hasan Haşmet Işık Swimming Pool Sports Facilities to ensure children spend their summer vacation productively, healthily, and with sports activities. The courses, with a total quota of 120 people, will be held completely free of charge. Training will be conducted on weekdays from 09:00 to 12:00 with expert trainers.

The Facility Will Serve the Citizens

The swimming pool will provide service throughout the summer period according to a planned program for different age groups and purposes of use. Rental services will be offered to sports clubs between 13:00 and 18:00, and during the same hours, project lessons will be conducted by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality.

Public Hour Practice

Public usage hours have also been set for citizens who can swim to benefit from the facility. Accordingly, the facility will be open to public use on weekdays from 12:00 to 13:00 and 18:00 to 20:00, and on weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 08:30 to 12:30, with the Public Hour application.

Erhan Çetinkaya, Head of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality District Services 2nd Region Department, who shared information about the projects to be brought to Yatağan, stated, "Under the leadership of our Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Ahmet Aras, our facility in Yatağan is at the service of our citizens. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we strive to provide all possible services to encourage our youth and children to engage in sports. We are working in harmony with Yatağan Municipality. We plan to establish a cultural center in Yatağan in the forthcoming period."

Mayor Günay: "No One in Yatağan Will Remain Unable to Swim"

Yatağan Mayor Mesut Günay made statements about the courses to start at the swimming pool: "Our swimming pool courses, which started registrations on June 18, will be free for our children. Our courses will begin on Wednesday, July 1. Here, children will receive swimming training in reliable hands, including National Team coach Esen Savaş Öznalbant and our swimming coach Yıldız Cankurtaran. Another good news is that children in Yatağanspor's infrastructure will be able to swim here for free, and the public can use our pool with a very small fee of 120 TL. From now on, no one in Yatağan will remain unable to swim."

Ahmet Aras, Chairman of the Coastal Municipalities Union and Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, emphasized the importance of children and youth growing up intertwined with sports, stating, "We want our children to spend their summer vacation productively, healthily, and in a safe environment. With this understanding, we are starting our free summer school swimming courses at Yatağan Hasan Haşmet Işık Swimming Pool Sports Facilities. Sports is not only about physical development; it is an important lifestyle culture that strengthens discipline, self-confidence, and solidarity."

Mayor Aras added, "As Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, we deliver our services equally and fairly not only in the center but also to all 13 districts. We work to ensure our children, youth, and citizens benefit equally from social, cultural, and sports opportunities in every corner of our city. We will continue to increase our investments and projects supporting sports in every district of Muğla and to stand by our children, who are our future."
