Fire spreads to new neighborhoods, flames are spreading
The forest fire that started in the morning in Seydikemer district of Muğla could not be controlled due to strong wind and spread to new areas. The teams' intensive intervention from the air and ground continues uninterrupted.
The fire that broke out in the Kavaklı Area of Bayır Neighborhood in Seydikemer in the morning spread over a wide area in a short time due to storm-force winds.
The flames reached the Kıncılar and Dere neighborhoods, and a large number of fire, forest, and support teams were dispatched to the area. Intensive struggle continues from the air and ground to stop the progress of the fire.
According to information from officials, the fire continues to advance towards the Kayacık and Çatak neighborhoods. Citizens living in the area are asked to be cautious against possible risks, closely follow the warnings of official institutions, and comply promptly with evacuation calls if deemed necessary.
