Governor Akbıyık's Message on the 187th Anniversary of the Gendarmerie Organization
Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 187th anniversary of the General Command of the Gendarmerie.
In his message, Governor Akbıyık stated that the Gendarmerie Organization is one of the state's most established and respected institutions, expressing that the organization has served as a guarantee of the nation's peace and security for centuries.
Emphasizing that the Gendarmerie, described as the "law enforcement army," serves selflessly across the country with a superior sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism, Akbıyık noted that the gendarmerie bears significant responsibility in maintaining public order.
Highlighting that the gendarmerie personnel carry out duties in a wide range of areas from combating terrorism to fighting smuggling, and from public security services to traffic safety, Akbıyık expressed that the organization is one of the most important examples of the unity between the state and the nation.
In his message, Governor Akbıyık also commemorated with mercy the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the indivisible integrity of the homeland and extended wishes of health and peace to the veterans.
At the end of the message, Akbıyık wished success to all members of the General Command of the Gendarmerie, especially the gendarmerie personnel serving in Muğla, and offered wishes of health, peace, and well-being to both the personnel and their families.
