The first phase of free swimming courses started

The July phase of free summer swimming courses organized by Bodrum Municipality for children aged 5-13 has begun. It is aimed that approximately one thousand children will benefit from the courses, which will be held in two phases throughout the summer period.

As the first phase of the courses carried out by Bodrum Municipality Directorate of Operations and Affiliates started, applications for the second phase to be held in August will be accepted as of July 15. After two phases, it is planned to provide free swimming training to approximately one thousand children.

This year, the courses are carried out entirely with the municipality's own facilities, accompanied by Bodrum Municipality's own instructors and lifeguards. To help children focus better on the training, parents are not allowed into the pool area, but they can instantly follow their children through cameras placed at different points of the pool via screens in the waiting area.

Making statements about the free swimming courses, Bodrum Deputy Mayor Kanat Hasan Özsert said that Bodrum Municipality continues to bring children together with sports and added that it is aimed to provide free swimming training to approximately one thousand children this year.

Özsert emphasized that conducting the courses with the municipality's own instructors and lifeguards is an important gain and underlined that all preparations have been meticulously made for children to have a safe and efficient training process.

Emphasizing that Mayor Tamer Mandalinci places great importance on children's development and sports, Özsert stated that Bodrum Municipality will continue and increase its free courses and sports activities for children in the upcoming period./İHA
