Clean Navigation Project Started from Marmaris
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change's "Clean Navigation Project" has been implemented in Muğla. It aims for more effective management of waste from marine vessels in Muğla, which was chosen as the pilot province.
The opening meeting of the "Clean Navigation Project" implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change was held in Marmaris district of Muğla.
The meeting, chaired by General Director of Environmental Management Fatih Turan, was attended by Muğla Deputy Governor İsmail Soykan and Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya.
At the meeting, sustainable management of waste from marine vessels, improvement of waste reception systems, strengthening of digital infrastructure, and studies to protect the marine environment were discussed.
Within the scope of the project to be implemented in Muğla, designated as a pilot province by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, evaluations were made regarding strengthening inter-institutional coordination, identifying the existing capacity, and spreading environmentally friendly practices.
