Seydikemer District Governor Mustafa Dilekli: 'Our Nation Wrote an Epic on July 15'

Seydikemer District Governor Mustafa Dilekli released a message on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. In his message, District Governor Dilekli emphasized that July 15 went down in history as an epic struggle where the nation, united in solidarity and togetherness, stood up for democracy and left an unforgettable mark.

Governor Mustafa Dilekli expressed that on the night of July 15, the Turkish nation defended its homeland with the same faith and determination as in the past, stating, "On July 15, our heroic people who fought for the homeland, democracy, and independence shouted to the whole world that protecting their lands and proud history is the sole element of their future with the same determination as centuries ago, and once again wrote a heroic epic with chests full of love for the homeland and the flag in unity just like in Kut’ül Ammare, Sakarya, Dumlupınar, Çanakkale, and the War of Independence, swearing to protect their homeland at all costs; our nation has shown that it can become veterans and martyrs without hesitation."

Highlighting the determination shown by the nation on the night of July 15, Governor Dilekli said, "Our heroic nation, united as one with women, men, youth, and elders, filled the streets and squares that night following the call of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; confronting tanks, artillery, planes, helicopters, and rifles solely with their faith and belief, risking their lives and not leaving the squares empty for days, stood up for democracy."

Emphasizing the resolute continuation of the fight against terrorism, Dilekli stated, "All institutions of our state, security forces, and our noble nation’s prayers and support will continue their determined struggle against all treacherous elements, FETÖ/PKK, and all separatist terrorist organizations targeting our country's survival, unity, peace, and future."

District Governor Mustafa Dilekli concluded his message by saying, "We pray to God for all our revered martyrs who sacrificed their bodies against the traitors who sought to deliver a heavy blow to our state's integrity, the existence, future, and freedom of our nation on July 15, and we remember our veterans with gratitude and appreciation."
