Started with a Toy Drum, Became the Rhythm of the School Orchestra
Yalın Sarıman transferred his rhythm talent discovered at a young age to drum training. The 9-year-old musician is expanding his stage goals.
At the club night organized by MTK College in Muğla, 9-year-old Yalın Sarıman attracted attention with his drum performance. Yalın, who started keeping rhythm with a toy drum bought from the market when he was one and a half years old, embarked on a musical journey supported by his family and education that led him to the school orchestra. The young musician is now developing himself with different instruments and dreams of sharing the stage with Mor ve Ötesi.
Rhythm Talent Discovered at a Young Age
Yalın Sarıman's introduction to music began with a toy drum bought from the market. His mother, Gurbet Sarıman, said her son showed interest in the drum when he was just one and a half years old and his sense of rhythm was quickly noticed.
To support Yalın's interest, his family first bought a toy drum set. As his interest in music continued, he switched to a professional drum set at the age of four and a half. During this period, Yalın started taking private lessons from drum instructor Gökhan Kol.
Performed with the MTK College Orchestra
Yalın continued his drum training with private lessons for a long time and recently continued his studies at MTK College where he receives education. With the support of his teachers Tuğçe Kurt, Samet Gökçeoğlu, Çağın Özülkü, and his homeroom teacher Aylin Bal, he was selected for the school orchestra.
Performing at the club night, Yalın received praise from the audience. Despite his young age, Yalın attracts attention with his stage harmony and rhythm control. In addition to drums, he also plays piano and xylophone.
His Dream is to Share the Stage with Mor ve Ötesi
One of Yalın Sarıman's greatest sources of inspiration is Mor ve Ötesi. When he was only 4 years old, he watched the band's concert at the Bodrum Ancient Theatre and has been interested in their songs ever since.
His mother, Gurbet Sarıman, stated that one of her son's biggest dreams is to be on the same stage with Mor ve Ötesi. The family plans to give more weight to private drum lessons for Yalın again during the summer period when the school pace decreases.
