57,863 paragliding flights were carried out from Babadağ in the first half of the year in Fethiye district of Muğla.

Zafer Şekerci, Board Member of Ölüdeniz Paragliding Pilots Cooperative, told Anadolu Agency that paragliding is one of the best activities in Fethiye.
Şekerci stated that 57,863 people watched the wonderful Ölüdeniz view from the sky in the first 6 months of the year and said, "Compared to the same period last year, there is a 5% increase in the number of flights. Fethiye has once again proven its claim in paragliding as in many activities. We also invite everyone who wants to fly to the sky."
Şekerci noted that Turks took the first place in the flights, followed by Chinese and British, and added that there were also people flying this year from countries like Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Şekerci emphasized that Fethiye promotes paragliding in the best way on every country and platform, and added:
"Those who come to paraglide always feel uneasy at first. This is quite natural. Each day, interest in paragliding continues to increase. Paragliding is a fairly safe sport. We are quite happy that visitors to the city experience this. The 5% increase compared to last year shows that the numbers will rise even though the season has just started. Those who are hesitant or have doubts in their minds should at least fly once so they can better understand the beauty and safety of this sport."
