Muğla's Little Ballerinas Shine on the International Stage

Students of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory Ballet Department achieved significant rankings in the International Bosphorus Ballet Competition held on June 18-19, 2026. In the competition, 1st grade student Adasu Terzioğlu won first place, 6th grade student Mira Kapucu was third, and 7th grade student Nehir Turasay placed sixth.

Conservatory Students Attract Attention with Their Successes

Conservatory students also achieved successful results in various international competitions they participated in throughout the year. In the International Berrussa Ballet Competition held on January 28, 2026, 1st grade student Adasu Terzioğlu took first place, 8th grade student Umay Defne Güven second, and 3rd grade student Aylin Ece Hodoğlugil fourth place.

At the Frankfurt International Ballet Competition held on April 26, 2026, Adasu Terzioğlu ranked third, while Aylin Ece Hodoğlugil and Umay Defne Güven competed in different categories and placed fourth. The ballet students who attended the international competitions were prepared by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory Ballet Department teachers Yaprak Baba, Melike Girgin, and Oktay Keresteci.

Raising the Future Ballet Artists

Students of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory Ballet Department continue their academic and artistic development alongside their competition successes. Second grade student Eliz Erdem, third grade student Aylin Ece Hodoğlugil, and fifth grade student Firdevs Akdeniz are preparing to take an important step toward becoming professional ballet artists by taking entrance exams at conservatories located in Istanbul, Adana, İzmir, and Ankara.

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory demonstrates the quality of its art education with the achievements of its students in national and international platforms, while continuing to contribute to the preparation of young talents for the future.
