TÜRKAK accreditation for Muğla's food analysis laboratory
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's 100th Year Food Analysis Laboratory received TÜRKAK accreditation. Honey and olive oil analysis reports will gain international validity.
The 100th Year Food Analysis Laboratory, initiated by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, was accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency within the scope of the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. The technical competence and international validity of the analysis results of the laboratory established under the Agricultural Services Department in cooperation with Muğla Commodity Exchange were registered.
Accredited analysis service will be provided for honey and olive oil
The 100th Year Food Analysis Laboratory, established with an investment of approximately 50 million TL, provides services to scientifically determine the quality criteria of food products, primarily honey and olive oil. The laboratory enables producers to have their products analyzed faster and at more affordable costs, while also contributing to the production of reliable food and the protection of consumer health.
With TÜRKAK accreditation, the laboratory’s technical competence, quality management system, and result reliability in the analyses performed within the defined scopes have been approved at national and international levels.
Analysis reports will be accepted in export processes
Thanks to the accreditation, analysis reports prepared by the laboratory will be accepted on national and international platforms. This situation will provide advantages in export processes especially for producers, cooperatives, and businesses operating in Muğla and surrounding provinces.
It is stated that the laboratory will continue to serve as a reliable analysis center, and that the quality certification process for prominent agricultural products in the region, such as honey and olive oil, will be strengthened.
