Intervention to two separate forest fires continuing in Muğla's Seydikemer and Fethiye districts is ongoing. Aircraft and helicopters started to support the teams working from the ground throughout the night starting from the morning hours.
Fire largely under control in Seydikemer
The forest fire that started in the Seydikemer district on the morning of Wednesday, July 29, was largely brought under control by the teams' intense intervention during the night.
Efforts to completely bring the fire under control, which continued from the ground throughout the night, were joined by aerial vehicles as daylight broke. Cooling and complete control work continues in the region.
Fire intensity reduced in Üzümlü
The fire that started around 02:00 in the Üzümlü neighborhood of Fethiye district spread to forested areas due to the effect of the wind.
The teams intervening from the ground throughout the night stopped the fire's progression. With the participation of aircraft and helicopters in the early morning, the intensity of the flames was reduced.
Intervention from both air and ground continues without interruption to fully control the fire in the region.
