The meeting, where the works carried out within the scope of the Animal Protection Law were evaluated under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior, was held via Video Conference System (VKS) under the chairmanship of the Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi. Governors of 80 provinces, along with Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the current status of natural habitats under construction in the provinces and efforts aimed at safely transferring stray animals living on the streets to these areas were discussed. Governors provided information about the practices carried out in their own provinces.

Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi stated that their goal is not to abandon stray animals to their fate on the streets but to ensure their living in safe and healthy conditions in natural habitats. He expressed that animals in these areas will not face problems regarding shelter and access to food and will continue their lives under the supervision of veterinarians.

Minister Çiftçi emphasized that the efforts aim to increase the peace and security of citizens as well as to protect the right to life of all living beings, saying, "We will continue to work resolutely for the peace of our beloved nation, the safety of our cities, and the right to life of all living beings."
