23 Million TL Savings with Solar Energy in Muğla
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality produced 4.2 million kilowatt-hours of energy in 45 days with solar energy investments and saved 23 million TL.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality continues to contribute to the municipal budget with renewable energy investments. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, which is the first municipality in Turkey to have a licensed solar power plant, reduces both energy costs and carbon emissions with production from the solar field established in Menteşe Denizova Neighborhood. With the commissioning of two new facilities within MUSKİ, the number of solar power plants increased to 10. 4.2 million kilowatt-hours of energy was produced in 45 days at these facilities.

Solar energy investments increase in Muğla
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has expanded its clean energy investments with projects started in the Menteşe district. The first licensed solar power plant was established at the slaughterhouse facilities in Menteşe. Subsequently, renewable energy projects were implemented at intercity passenger terminals. The solar field established in Menteşe Denizova Neighborhood became an important link in these investments. The electricity obtained from solar energy reduces the municipality's energy expenses and contributes to lowering carbon emissions with an environmentally friendly production model.

The number of solar power plants increased to 10
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras announced that two new facilities have been added to the solar power plants implemented within MUSKİ. Thus, the number of solar power plants affiliated with the municipality reached 10. Mayor Aras stated that 4.2 million kilowatt-hours of energy was produced in 45 days, resulting in savings of over 23 million TL. In the same period, 3,375 tons of carbon emissions were prevented.

The solar energy investments of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality have reached high production figures in a short time. According to the announced data, 4.2 million kilowatt-hours of energy was produced at the facilities in 45 days. This production directly contributed to the municipal budget. The goal is to use public resources more efficiently by reducing energy expenses. Mayor Aras stated that renewable energy investments mean lower costs, a cleaner environment, and a stronger future.

Carbon emissions reduced by 3,375 tons
The production at solar power plants not only provided economic savings but also prevented 3,375 tons of carbon emissions. Mayor Ahmet Aras expressed that the energy obtained from the sun made a tangible contribution to the fight against the climate crisis. Aras said the environmental gain has an impact equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration of tens of thousands of trees.
