Drones are taking off to protect nature in Muğla

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality has activated drone services after camera traps to protect Muğla's nature and environment.

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts across the province to protect the city's natural, historical beauties and forest resources. As part of this, the Metropolitan Municipality Police teams activated drone services after setting up 7 camera trap systems to prevent unauthorized dumping of garbage, rubble, and excavation material. With the activation of the drone service, it is reported that the goal is to prevent illegal excavation waste, unauthorized garbage and rubble dumping.

Meanwhile, it was stated that so far 1,520 people have been fined a total of 14 million 210 thousand TL through the camera trap system and rigorous inspections carried out province-wide. Additionally, it was noted that after identifying illegal excavation and unauthorized rubble dumpers, the areas have been cleaned and the costs have been imposed on those who did the illegal dumping.
