Muğla surrendered to the summer rain

After the heavy rainfall warning issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the expected downpour was effective in Muğla. Especially in Menteşe, the city center and its surroundings were suddenly drenched around 14:50, negatively affecting daily life.

Due to the downpour that quickly intensified, water puddles formed on streets and avenues, and some roads practically turned into streams. Drivers had a hard time in traffic due to reduced visibility. When the rain intensified, vehicle wipers proved insufficient, causing occasional slowdowns in traffic.

The rainfall, which continued intensely for about half an hour, then proceeded at normal levels. Along with the heavy rain, there was a sudden drop in air temperature. The temperature, which rose up to 32 degrees in the afternoon, fell to 16 degrees after the rain.

Authorities advised drivers to be cautious against sudden floods, transportation disruptions, and reduced visibility, and called on citizens to take precautions against adverse conditions.
