Muğla in London for the EBRD Green Cities Program
Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras announced that he is in London for the EBRD Green Cities Summit. Muğla became the sixth city from Turkey to join the program.
Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras announced that he is in London for the EBRD Green Cities / Green Cities Mayors Summit organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Aras stated that Muğla will be represented on the international platform at the summit, noting that the city is the sixth city from Turkey to join the EBRD Green Cities Program.
It was reported that a cooperation agreement aimed at Muğla's sustainable future will also be signed within the scope of the program.
In his statement, Mayor Aras emphasized that international collaborations will be strengthened for Muğla to be a city that protects its nature, resilient to the climate crisis, uses its resources efficiently, and plans for the future.
Aras used the following expressions in his statement:
“I am in London for the Green Cities Mayors Summit organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. At this important meeting, we will represent our Muğla on the international platform as the sixth city in Turkey participating in the EBRD Green Cities Program. At the same time, we will sign the cooperation agreement, which is an important step for the sustainable future of our Muğla.”
It was stated that Muğla Metropolitan Municipality aims to increase international finance and cooperation opportunities under the headings of combating the climate crisis, resource efficiency, environmental planning, and sustainable urbanization.
