Necati Kayaközü Appointed as Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor

A comprehensive personnel change took place in the Muğla judicial organization. With the recently published decree by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK), Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor Oğuzhan Dönmez was appointed to the Tekirdağ Regional Court of Justice Chief Public Prosecutor position. Necati Kayaközü was assigned as the Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor in place of Dönmez. The decree brought wide-ranging changes covering not only the provincial center but also the judiciary organizations in Bodrum, Fethiye, Marmaris, Ortaca, Yatağan, Datça, Köyceğiz, and Seydikemer.

Personnel Change at Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office

The most notable change in the Muğla chapter of the HSK decree was the new appointment of Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor Oğuzhan Dönmez. Dönmez was appointed to the Tekirdağ Regional Court of Justice Chief Public Prosecutor position with the published decree. Thus, a new era commenced at the chief public prosecutor’s office in Muğla.

Necati Kayaközü was appointed to the vacated post. Additionally, under the decree, Manisa Public Prosecutor Kamil Yılmaz was assigned as Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Muğla. Abdullah Tok, President of Salihli Heavy Penal Court, and Şenol Kartal, President of Istanbul Heavy Penal Court, were appointed Presidents of Muğla Heavy Penal Court, while Bodrum Judge Mustafa İlker Aydın was also among the appointed Presidents of Muğla Heavy Penal Court. Yalova Judge Mehmet Bingöl will undertake the Presidency of Muğla Commercial Court.

Renewal of Prosecutor and Judge Staff at Muğla Central Courthouse

With the decree, many prosecutors and judges from Muğla’s central courthouse were assigned to other provinces, while new names were appointed in their places. Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Alicenk Düzgün was assigned to İzmir Public Prosecutor’s Office, while public prosecutors Hüseyin Kayıkcı was appointed as a member of İzmir Regional Court of Justice, Nevzat Bulut and Beşir Aslan to İzmir Public Prosecutor’s Office, Tuğba Akalın to Aydın Public Prosecutor’s Office, Bahtiyar Kargı to Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office, Mehmet Şirin Keleş to Mersin Public Prosecutor’s Office, and Sevcan Erciyas to Gaziosmanpaşa Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Judges from Muğla such as Asu Sezer were appointed as members of İzmir Regional Court of Justice, Alkan Altan to Gebze Judgeship, Bilal Adıgüzel to Küçükçekmece Judgeship, Hakan Erciyas to Gaziosmanpaşa Judgeship, Yasemin Keleş to Mersin Judgeship, Kerim Karabay and Mine Keskin Karabay to Istanbul Judgeship, Hülya Demir Arslan to Aydın Judgeship, Zehra Nur Gültekin to İzmir Regional Court of Justice membership, Buket Doğan to Istanbul Anatolian Judgeship, and Nur Melda Adıgüzel to Küçükçekmece Judgeship among the appointees.

Furthermore, Umut Tepe, Salih Şengöz, Fatma Ulusoy Aydın, Seçkin Demircan, Erol Sarcan and Furkan Tunahan Kozakoğlu were appointed to Muğla Public Prosecutor’s staff. Mehmet Kıran, Mustafa Toprak, İlyas Kurt, Esra Zolan Tok, Muhammed Yasin Yavrutürk and Hatice Erdoğan Kurt were assigned to the judges’ staff.

Extensive Appointments in Bodrum, Fethiye, and Marmaris

The decree also brought significant changes to the courthouses in the tourism centers of Bodrum, Fethiye, and Marmaris.

In Bodrum, Heavy Penal Court Presidents Özer Çiloğlu and Uğur Tabak were assigned to other duties, while Ahmet Yaşar Akbay and Gizem Elbasan Baykara were appointed as Presidents of Bodrum Heavy Penal Court. Ali Baykara and Murat Küçük were appointed as Deputy Chief Public Prosecutors of Bodrum.

Fethiye Chief Public Prosecutor Günşafak Karartı was appointed to Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and Durmuş Ali Karakoca was appointed to his place. Veli Ecir was appointed as Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Fethiye. Public prosecutors Emrah Ağır, Uğur Bengi, Akile Erol Ünlüer, Gamze Kafalı Yılmaz, Erencan Yılmaz, Mehmet Burak Tek and Pınar Melisa Ağır were transferred to different districts and provinces. Tufan Güven was appointed to Fethiye Public Prosecutor’s staff.

Fatmagül Yörük, Marmaris Chief Public Prosecutor, was appointed to Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor’s Office, and Alper Ersan was appointed as Chief Public Prosecutor in Marmaris. Widespread changes were also made within the prosecutor and judge staff of Marmaris.

A New Era Began at District Courthouses

The HSK decree also affected other districts of Muğla. Many judges and prosecutors serving in Ortaca, Yatağan, Datça, Köyceğiz, and Seydikemer were appointed to new posts, and new names were brought into the vacant positions.

Habip Akın Kolukırık was appointed as President of Heavy Penal Court in Ortaca, while Zeynep Altunsoy, Merve Coşkun, Orhan Dinçer, Muhammed Enes Orak, and Züleyha Sarıcalar were appointed as judges there.

Ahmet Kürşat Demirdöğer, Elif Dağ Tuna, and Atilla Karaca were appointed as prosecutors of Yatağan Public Prosecutor’s Office, with Gamze Demirdöğer, Mehmet Selim Erdoğan, Livanur Erdoğan, and Serhat Suzan appointed as judges.

Sema Güngör Çelik and Batuhan Sadi Özyürek were appointed to Datça Public Prosecutor positions, while Burak Can Çelik was appointed judge. Oğuzhan Belli was appointed to Köyceğiz Public Prosecutor’s Office.

New appointments were also made for Seydikemer Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, with Fethiye Public Prosecutor Akile Erol Ünlüer appointed as Chief Public Prosecutor of Seydikemer.
