Gender Equality Training Provided to Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Staff

Gender Equality Training was organized by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality for municipal staff. The training covered equal opportunities in social life and working life, prevention of discrimination, and the equality approach.

Gender Equality Training was held on June 18 in the Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Cultural Center Seminar-1 Hall, organized by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Human Resources and Training Department. Municipal staff attended the training.

The training was provided by Figan Erozan. The program addressed the concept of gender, the understanding of equality, and inequalities encountered in daily life under different headings.

Inequalities in Social Life and Working Life Were Addressed

Within the training, differences between sex and gender, gender stereotypes and prejudices, roles of women and men in social life, equal opportunity, prevention of discrimination, and gender equality within the framework of human rights were explained.

Participants exchanged views on examples of inequalities encountered in social life and working life. Group studies and practical activities organized during the training focused on the place of an egalitarian approach in individual and social life.

Information Was Provided on Equality and Inclusiveness

The program emphasized that gender equality is a common responsibility concerning all segments of society. Information was given about the roles individuals can undertake in creating an equal, inclusive, and just society.

The training ended after participants shared their opinions and evaluations.
