Mobile wheelchair repair vehicle on the roads for 'Accessible Muğla'

The Metropolitan Municipality, which supports citizens with Turkey's first Short Break Service, Disabled Transport Service, Accessibility Advocates, Accessible Beaches, Home Care, and many other innovative services, is implementing another service that overcomes barriers.

With the Mobile Wheelchair Repair Vehicle and On-Site Support Service, faults in electric and manual wheelchairs will be quickly and freely repaired at the address where the citizens are located. In cases where the fault cannot be resolved on-site, the devices will be taken to the service department for repair, and temporary wheelchair support will be provided to those in need during this process.

Thus, the interruption of daily life for disabled individuals during maintenance and repair will be prevented. This project, planned based on applications made through the 444 48 01 Call Center for an accessible and barrier-free Muğla, aims especially to prevent the grievances of individuals with limited transportation opportunities.

Expected to reach thousands of wheelchair users across Muğla, the project aims to ensure the uninterrupted daily lives of disabled individuals, support their participation in social life, and reduce their economic burdens.

With this service, the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality will strengthen its social municipal approach and take another important step towards the goal of an accessible and barrier-free city.
