Meteorology announced an increased risk of forest fires in Muğla due to temperatures reaching 41 degrees, low humidity, and strong winds, and issued a warning.
The Meteorology 4th Regional Directorate announced that the critical level of forest fire risk has risen due to the expected hot, dry, and strong winds in Muğla, calling on citizens to be careful.
The Meteorology 4th Regional Directorate reported that the hot, dry, and strong windy weather conditions expected to intensify in Muğla in the coming days will significantly increase the risk of forest fires. Authorities asked citizens to show maximum care against possible fires.
Meteorological forecasts predict that air temperatures will range between 35 and 41 degrees, while relative humidity is expected to drop to levels between 10% and 20%. Winds from northern directions are expected to reach speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour, with short bursts reaching up to 70 kilometers per hour.
In a statement by the Meteorology, it was emphasized that the combination of high temperature, low humidity, and strong winds increases both the likelihood of forest fire ignition and spread. The statement urged citizens especially not to light fires, to avoid behaviors that could cause fires, and to be cautious against possible adverse events.
