According to the weather forecast report published by the General Directorate of Meteorology on Wednesday, July 29, hot weather will continue to increase its effect in Fethiye. The forecast indicates that the temperature in the district will be at least 28 and at most 40 degrees.

While Fethiye is experiencing the most intense days of the summer season, high temperatures are expected to persist throughout the day, and citizens and tourists staying outdoors especially during noon hours are advised to be careful.

Experts recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight between 11:00 and 16:00, drinking plenty of fluids, and wearing light-colored, lightweight clothing to mitigate the negative effects of hot weather.

Tourism activity continues with hot weather

Fethiye, one of Turkey's important tourism destinations, is expected to reach temperatures of 40 degrees, and it is evaluated that the temperatures felt especially in coastal areas including Ölüdeniz can rise further due to the effect of humidity.

Authorities emphasize that the elderly, children, and citizens with chronic illnesses should take precautions due to the hot weather.

Meanwhile, it is noted that the risk of forest fires has increased due to the ongoing high temperatures in the region. Citizens are asked not to light fires in forested areas, to avoid throwing cigarette butts, and to inform the 112 Emergency Call Center if they encounter any suspicious situations.
